Steel Joist Presentation

Join us as Scott May, PE, a representative from Vulcraft in Utah, presents information on best practices for specifiing steel joists on design documents. Mr. May is a Registered Professional Engineer in nine western states. He has over 20 years of experience with Vulcraft, 10 years as a Design Engineer and 10+ years in his current capacity as Sales Engineer.  Mr. May received both his Bachelors Degree and Masters Degree at Brigham Young University. Specific topics to include:

  • Advantages and disadvantages of specifying constant shear capacity versus custom loading 
  • Best practices on design documents
  • How costs change as geometery is modified

Check in begins at 11:30 am. Lunch and presentation begins at 11:45 and ends by 1:00 pm. Use the "Register" button on the left to sign up on-line now. You can register multiple people and can pay on-line using a credit card. You can also choose the "manual" payment method which will generate an emailed invoice so you can pay by check or at the door.
