Collaborative Selection and Optimization of Reinforced Concrete Structural Systems

This presentation will introduce the Reinforced Concrete Explorer and Reinforced Concrete Concept. This presentation goes through the various design selections at the conceptual stage. Assisting the design team in working from the start of a project together, Explorer allows a collaborative effort to begin the design process and includes thoughts for design that may not have been previously considered. This presentation also introduces various other documents and tools like Concept, to aid the design and construction community.

Attendees will be eligible for Continuing Education Units.

 

Biographical Sketch of Bethany Hennings

Bethany currently oversees operations of the Concrete Reinforced Steel Institute in the Western Region, representing 11 states and 3 Canadian Providences. With a degree in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University, and an MBA from Duke University, she practiced as a civil engineer on multi-million dollar land development projects and has been representing cement and reinforcing steel associations for the past eleven years. Bethany has presented programs to design professionals, contractors and students across the United States
